Vacuum Degassing Outfits
Our standard 3A degassing outfit is typical of our range of top loading cylindrical outfits.
We also supply degassing chambers shorter, taller, narrow or wide and second-hand reconditioned vacuum pumps to evacuate the chamber in sufficient time for you to process your material. All listed later in this catalogue.
Select a chamber size to suit your moulds and the quantity of material to be degassed at one time.
Select A, B or C so that pump down time is less than five times the useable Pot Life of your material, i.e. 15 minute pot life select group A.
An acrylic lid is satisfactory unless you are using solvents e.g. acetone. You must then choose a metal lid (and a view port) see the price guide on following pages.
As a general guide we suggest:
RTV silicone, polyester, resin - Group A
Plaster, epoxy resin - Group B
Polyurethane - Group C
Our most popular outfits are listed and priced below with a reconditioned vacuum pump complete with filters hose etc ready for use (acrylic lid on outfits 1,2 & 3).

Recommend maximum pump down times: RTV Silicone rubber and most resins: 3 minutes. Casting and Investing Plasters: 1 minute. Polyurethane: 30 seconds. Please refer to material manufacturers specifications, which should give the pot life of the material
